SAP Router Error:

I configured SAP router, but unable to connect to SAP.

Hi,

What is the error that you are getting ?

To check connectivity is fine, backup you routtab and replace everything with single line P * * * and test again.

Mat sure ports are opened and Public IP is NATed with local ip of your router.

Also share the routtab file.

What exactly is the error you are getting ?

Check the OSS1 settings and also the SAP-Router details under System Data Maintenance.

Thanks for the instruction.

I followed the steps you provided but saprouter is still not running.

When I ran the command at os with sidadm usr, displays below error message:

D:\usr\sap\saprouter>saprouter -r -V 2 -K "p:CN=<HostName>, OU=<Customer No.>, OU=S

AProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"

trcfile dev_rout

no logging active

WARNING: wildcard character used in route target

Please see attached both files for saprouttab & dev_rout.

That is not an error.

Because '*' is used in routtab, you see wild card warning.

Extra logging is not active and that is a default nature.

All is fine..

You should use oss1 transaction and create an oss rfc and see if this works.

Give me 5 mins to check you logs

If you are talking about


WARNING: wildcard character used in route target

So it's not an error its simply a warning message and after analysis of attached file don't think you're getting any issue in connection .

Kindly share exact issue with error logs or snapshots.

You routtab seems fine but formatting makes it difficult to understand.

For eg


"# R3 connection to SAP"

The above line is a comment and after this you need to specify which system/ips are permitted.

So, i cannot see any error specifically.

On the other hand, please read my 1st and 2nd reply for testing.

If test fails, then use niping to find the cause.

Now, I don't find any error on the dev_rout tab, but, what is the command to see the running status.

I logged in and check saposs RFC connection failed.

Please check your host and services files once.

Hi Ebad,

Please share dev_w5 log file for analysis.In addition have you maintained correct hostname entries under your host file.

Try to delete SAPOSS RFC from SM59 and recreate via OSS1 and share the results,it should be successful.

Second be confirm you've generated correct router certificate for correct host from SMP.

Hi Srivastava,

As I am configuring SAP Router for the first time and connection test error from SAPOSS RFC.

I am following the notes you mention, but still it gives RFC connection error. I fond user oss_rfc is not exists, I created but what specific roles required to this user and what type of user this should be, like: service user or communication user.

Services file is also maintained at local laptop, does it required at server?

Also Please see the dev_lg trace file

Could you please confirm instance number you've given under OSS1,it should be 99 and have you maintained sapdp99 3299/tcp under services file.If possible please share the snapshot for OSS1 at your end.

Additionally share dev_w5 log file from the OS.

Also user oss_rfc is not exists, and unable to create due to password length n case sensitive.

Just change instance no from 00 to 99 under SAP router1 and try to test,your issue will be resolved.

Hi Ebad,

In addition first clear or delete SAPOSS RFC from SM59 and then go to OSS1 in change mode to replace instance number from 00 (Under SAPRouter 1) to 99 and save the changes.

After that just click on Log On or test the SAPOSS connection which get created under SM59 after saving the Technical settings .
