Could not load https://localhost:8443 in SAP CC

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to set up the SAP CC on my Windows 8.1 (64 bit) machine. I can execute the 'go.bat' file in SAP CC folder and see the 'osgi' command prompt. When I open the url 'https://localhost:8443' (in chrome browser) all I see is a blank page but not the Cloud connector Log in page. I followed the steps specified in the scn document ''. I have also cleared the cache in my browser. I see '404' not found error message in (Network section of developer tools chrome browser) when I try to reload the 'HTTPS://LOCALHOST:8443' url.

On checking the log file I see this - " java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no sapscc20jni in java.library.path " - How do I get this 'sapscc20jni' file ?

Any help to resolve this issue is highly appreciated.

Hi Mani,

it's very likely that the JVM and/or the OSGI runtime do not recognize the operating system correctly. Which JVM are you using exactly? I would suggest to upgrade to the latest SAP JVM version available for download and then you can try again.

As its mentioned right below this error " java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no sapscc20jni in java.library.path " in the log file, Install this 64bit msi from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632 and try running the batch file again.

Hi Markus & Deepa,

Thanks for your reply. I have installed JVM again & Microsoft VC++ 2010 package(x64) but not luck. For now I have copied the sapscc20jni file from Auditor folder and put it in Windows/system32 folder & I can see the SAP cloud connector page & work with it. At this point I will close this thread.

Even I am facing the same issue, the only difference being the error n the console is as as shown.

I am using windows 8.

Windows 8 is not supported yet, but we will soon validate it and make the Cloud connector run properly on it.

But If you see the reply given by Mani in the above thread which states that he copied sapscc20jni file from Auditor folder and puts it in Windows/system32 folder to find his purpose being served.

Is it worth doing?

But I can't find my system32 folder.

Hi Ranjit,

this may be a work-around, but not a real solution. Actually, it works as Windows will always look for libraries in this folder as it's part of the path. It might wokr partially, but potentially not completely.

How you solved the problem? My was getting connection refused error. I was able to run the go.bat file in sap CC folder but fail to load the cloud admin page

Hi Ranjit,

I have solved the problem. I copied the sapscc20jni.dll file from auditor directory of the Zip file to C:\Windows\System32.

Now the page is able to load.

Hi Ben,

again, this is not a solution in general and more or less a work-around. Actually, you should never copy non-system DLLs to this folder. That was a bad practice in the past and should be avoided nowadays. Moreover, there could be other reasons why the port is not coming up properly. Which Windows version are you using?

My Windows version is Windows 7 - 64bit version. I have fulfilled all the pre-requisites requirement mentioned in the documentation but still cannot work. This is the fastest workaround for me in order for me to proceed my development.

Hi Ben,

sometimes the reason for the"missing" DLL is, that by accident a 32bit Java VM installation was in the PATH, when the SCC was started for the first time. This then leads to a failure to extract the DLL to the correct folder (32bit JVM cannot use 64bit DLL), and the DLL then remains missing, even if later a correct 64bit JVM is used...

Unfortunately it is not easy to "repair" an SCC installation, if its initial startup happened with a 32bit JVM. But in the newer SCC releases (don't remember exactly, but probably starting with one of the 2.7.x releases?!) there is now a built-in check in the Windows Service, and the SCC refuses to start, if it finds a 32bit JVM.

The easiest solution to "clean up" the SCC in such a case is probably:

Copy DLL to Windows\system32, so the SCC can be started
Export the configuration
Uninstall the SCC and delete the DLL from Windows\system32
Make a fresh installation (with 64bit JVM!) and import the configuration again.
