SUM Update Error on Solution Manager

Hi,

I am having an error updating Solution manager to SP12 from SP04. I am using SUM and please see error attached.

I am just on the step specify credentials.

Log is also attached here. Please assist us as we have a go-live this week so we need to update the SP to a higher level.

Did you look into this SAP note ?

1401712 - JSPM/SAPJup/SAPehpi/SUM cannot detect all cluster instances

Try to use the suggestions given.

Which user are you using for running SUM ?

Also,

Have a look into these notes:

2013568 - Update tool returns "instance is not detected" error

And share output of

sapcontrol -nr <instance number> -function GetSystemInstanceList

Otherwise, take a restart of your SAP system and try again.

please do the following

go to following directory

/SUM/sdt/param

and in file - jump_config.txt

change the following value

/sapstartsrv/httpsconnection to false

repeat the phase .

service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT

Set the above parameter in the DEFAULT.PFL profile and restart all sapstartsrv services.

Hi Almira,

Set the below parameter

service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT in all the profiles (start profile , default profile and instance profile , scs profile as well.

When you will open your JSPM , you will face the same issue. So make the parameter change in all the profiles.

You don't need to set the parameter service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT in all the profiles. You need to set the parameter in DEFAULT.PFL profile.

Have you restarted the sapstarsrv processes ?

If this doesn't help then set (change) service/protectedwebmethods = NONE and restart all sapstarsrv processes.

can you try the same with older version of SAP SUM

as i can see is you are using newer version of SAP SUM 1.0.11.2

i request you to please use the older version .

please clean whole SUM directory .

i think SUM 1.0.9 is stable . please try upgrading with the same

and let me know if you are still facing the error.

in 9 also if you face the same error then please do change the parameter as i have suggested earlier.

We can't access the GUI now, the disp+work in SAPMMC is in yellow with status:

Dispatcher Running but dialog queue standstill, AS Java: All processes running.

How can we proceed on the next step. We are still stuck on phase

What is you database ? MAxDB ? If yes, then check you log area.

Also share dev_w0 and dev_disp logs.
