SLT Replication Process Workaround

Hi Experts,

We are curremtly replicating our ECC Data through SLT to SAP HANA.The issue is that we need to upgrade our Production ECC system next month & business do not want deactivate the triggers.If we deactivate the triggers it will take around 2-3 days for large table to complete the initialisation & then replicate the data.Is there any workaround that we can start the SLT triggers directly from delta?Or do we have any reports that will deactivate & activate the trigers in SLT?Or can we delete the triggers directly from ECC database?

Need your quick help now.

So that you get replies directly from SLT team. We have work around to get only Delta you find the below blog which explains that

But would suggest you to post the question there so that you can understand which work around is supported or any-other reports are there under development and the road map even more clearly.

Thanks Krishna for this But as this is not an SAP Note I cannot try this directly on my live systems.But still now at least you have suggested some workaround.

The process which you have shared -Only Delta Loading using SLT - Know How is fine but if you are creating a new table in HANA then you need to perform the initialisation right?How is this process then working for Delta Loads only?

New Table in HANA? Couldn't get what you meant? Can you be more clear? How to enable only "Delta" he explained it in that blog right?

Hi Krishna,

As per your shared doc the steps I need to go through:

Steps Involved in only Delta loading are:

Create an empty table with no data in it
Activate the Trigger and Logging information
Activate the Replication process

Create an empty table with no data in it--That is fine but how I get the entire data of the table with it?How is this process possible practically in your production hana system?The new table will be having only replicated data but not the full data.But the modellers need the historical data as well.

Suppose I need to upgrade my Production ECC system then in that case how I will be managing my SLT & Production HANA system without doing the initial load again?
