Unable to process your request

Hi All,

I am getting an error called 'Unable to process your Request' and is not giving me any details about error. This error when I am running through Crystal 2011 editor, I am not getting it. But when I run same report, through BI launchpad, I am getting it. Could you please help me how to fix this error.

This error is not getting when I am running report directly. These are the steps, I need to follow to produce the error.My report has a sub-report.

1. Run the report.

2. Click on sub-report

3. Again coming to main report and then click on sub-report, I am getting below error.

Which version of BusinessObjects are you running? (Include Service Pack and Patch number.)

We are using Business object 4.0 sp4 patch 9

There are a number of issues that have been fixed in later SP and patch versions of BI 4.0. I don't have time to look through the "what's changed" documentation (found at http://help.sap.com/bobip) to know for sure, but I suspect this is something that has been fixed in a later version.

Sorry Dell, earlier I posted wrong information. We are using SP 6 patch 9.

Move to SP8. I believe there was an issue as described by you in SP5 patch x (not sure of the patch). Possibly you may be able to reslve the issue.

Did you get a chance to narrow down the issue to some specific type of CR. Is the behavior found in all CR / or can you check with couple of other data siurces adn also replicate the issue with sample data.

It would be easier to collate information like this and check whether specific data source gives such a behavior of navigating between sub reports / main reports.

Also there must be a workarund. Can you check with the different viewer options available for CR in BI LaunchPad.
