hi ,

we have an requirement as employees shud enter clock in / out from portal and it shud capture actual current IST in 2011 p10 and p20 ......we have the same custom screen in r3 and it is wrking fine ...if we call the same screen in prd portal by creating trasactional iview any license probelm will arise let me know ...and wen i log in tat service it is getting https error as we have created all users are system users ....how to allow system user to access transactional ivew service in PRD portal ...any suggestions and any problems wil arise ?

how can i give access for system user to access transnational iview in portal as it is getting below error ...can i know any solution for this ......as we have created all users as system users in portal ...wen i change tat user to dialog user i can access tat particular service and working fine

Hi Malyadri,

If you have requirement to login frquently you should created dialog users. System users are not for general use, they are used for configuring connections [eg JCO connection user] which executes in background and doesnot require users to type password everytime. Error you are getting explains itself that for your requirement you should use dialog user.

thanks u got my point.....as we have a custom screen ware employees will use tat screen to use clock-in /out daily in all our branches and tat is now in r3 ..as we used one custom t-code for tat ztm_screen ....so i want to call same screen of tat t-code into portal as employees will access tat service from portal directly ..as if employee enters his number and clik on update it will take clock-in and clock -out automatically daily and immedialtey hits into 2011 infotype in r3 as i cannot create all users dialog users as portal users shud be only system users ..so hw to give access to tat t-cose with system user without getting tat warning message

what you can do is -

1) Create dialog user eg: DialogUser which you can use to login to Portal everytime with userID= DialogUser and password you have set while creating this user

2) Perform User Mapping of this DialogUser with System user you have - you can do this by

a) Goto User Administration > Identity management

b) look up user DialogUser

c) select User Mapping for System Access

d) under System select Portal System for your backend

e) under Mapping Data, Mapped user ID = provide your Service/System user and

Mapped Password as your Service user Password

Assign your transaction iview access to DialogUser, This way you will be able to login to Portal with Dialog user and when you access your Transaction iview, you will be using Mapped Service user.

hi asif ,

my question is ..we are having 500 users in portal who is accessing ESS MSS services ...and all that users are system users ...and i cannot change again tat system users into dialog users....as i want to give access to system users ( 500 users) tat trasactional iview and not with dailog user....Fyi ...i am able to open above my screen with dialog user .........but my requiremetn is i wanna open tat above transnational iview screen with system user only ...hope u can give me another solution

I am afraid there is no way you can get Service users to login to Portal they will have to be dialog type. How were they accessing this transaction before you brought Portal into your solution ?

hi asif ,

as i mentioned in my reply as we want to access tat trasactional iview with system user and not with service user as u said .....i just tested by changing from system user to dialog user ..but i am not giving it to my employees here the same still it is in process .and waiting for any alternate way for tat ..it is only possible if i give access with system user tat trasactional ivew access i am done with my requirement ....
