Data Services Designer Installation

Hi,

I have installed SAP BO DS designer 4.0 SP01 successfully but when i was trying launch the application i had got " Missing BODIFFCTRL.OCX Error" however i fixed by running the " regsvr32.exe "%LINK_DIR%\bin\BODIFFCTRL.OCX" in command prompt as an administrator

But Now I noticed that when I opened the application , only " ENTREPRISES" under the Authentication in Data SErvices Repository Login Screen and I could not find others like SAP etc ,

What I could have missed , can you pls advise ?

Hi Rambabu,

Could you please tell me that web-tier on a dedicated server box or same server.

If on the same machine you might have gone for "Full Installation" so it is better to deploy "Web Tier" Installation again

If this is the case, then, in order to enable the third-party authentications on the web-tier, you need to go for a custom/expand installation as described in the

installation guide where you need to select some particular options.

Please go through the installation guide in the Web Application Deployment Web-tier installation regarding this information.

Thanks Daya for your quick reply,

So basically I am trying to install just Data Services Designer Client Tool (UI) not a Server and and I am installing the client in a different PC to access Server ,

so do you think this web deployment applicable for clients as well or else whether server should have been installed Web Tier Installation method?

Hi Rambabu,

Could you please check in the Server all Authentication is available or not.

Path:

Login in Central Management Console (CMC)
Go to Authentication Tab
Then Check all Authentication (SAP, Windows AD, Windows LDAP,Enterprise......) are Available or not

If Not then follow the Web Tier Installtion steps on Server.

Hi Daya,

When I am logging into CMC I can see all Authentications like SAP,Enterprises, LDAP etc..

Could you please explain that you have server - client architecture. If server - client architecture then modify the Installation of SAP Business Objects Application.
