Visualization error in SAP portal navigation panel

Hi!

I have a problem in SAP Portal navigation panel. I attach a snapshot of the error message. Please could anybody help me to find out a solution?

I read the log file but there isn't anything wrong (aparently).

Do you have the required permission to access Content Administration?

Check in the defaulttrace file for the following error ID, and post the details here

You can find default trace files in below path

<installation Driver>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<InstanceId>\j2ee\cluster\server<node>\log

Check the exact server node id from the portal runtime error message screenshot and driectly go to that server node location on the server for logs

Hi Victoria,

Please search for the exception that you are getting (12:13_04/06/12_0006_11***) in the defaulttrace file . There you can find the cause of this issue.

Please paste or attach the defaulttrace file with this exception ID. I will be able to help you.

Hi Shrikant,

Thank you for your help, below it's detailed the log file. I haven't permission to see the log file, this one was sent to me last week. I'm asking for an admin user, but I don't know when the support services will do this.

I know it's difficult to check this error with so little information but any idea it will be welcomed.

This issue clearly seems to be an authorization error. You dont seem to have required authorization to access the PCD component you are trying to access.

I have highlighted the PCD path of the object you dont seem to have access and it refers to R/3 object.

Try first by connection test of System Alias " SAP_ECC_NEOS"

May be its because you have not uploaded logon ticket on R/3.

HI Victoria,

Could you find this object from permission editor, then check if you assigned corresponding role or user to it. Also check the following

1. log on as super admin to the portal.

2. go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> System

Landscape

3. in the PCD browse to neos system

4. right click Neos and select Open -> Permissions

5. assign End User permissions for Everyone

Please check if this resolves the issue.

Hi,

It doesn't work, and the Portal administrator has told me that they gave all the permissions the user needs... I don't think so, because the error is clear, "Access denied to an object" ...

Do you have more ideas to check? I'm completely lost with this issue.

I am sure this is a permission issue , can you please ask your portal administrator to send a screenshot of the permissions on that system object.

The portal administrator assigned End User permissions for Everyone but we have the same error.

Hi Victoria,

Is this the system object which has the System Alias: 'SAP_ECC_NEOS',. You have not checked the end user permission for everyone. Please check that checkbox.

You need to assign End User permissions for Everyone , which is not as per the screenshot.
