ChaRm implementation error in task list

Dear Gurus,

I am implementing ChaRM and my Solman is 7.0 ehp 1 SPS 25.

At the last step when we use tcode SOLMAN_PROJECT_ADMIN to enter the tab change request , I clicked on create task list

It successfully created the list, but the status in front of all the list is showing as LOCKED... and when i double click on any task everything is grey and nothing gets executed.

Please suggest !!

Hello,

I'm not sure, whether I got your problem correctly.

I guess that you opened the task list and all tasks are locked.

Hence mark a line, e.g. 'project track...' , press right mouse button and

choose "unlock groups/subsequent groups".

In the same way you're able to lock tasks or groups.

Thanks for taking the time to understand the issue.

Yes you got it correct, it shows a LOCK sign in-front of all the tasks ( ex - System logon ), and when I right click it and clicked on Unlock all subsequent group it says Task cannot be released first release super-ordinate tasks.

Now when i move up the hierarchy to unlock the top most node it says Task plan cannot be changed.

Message no. /TMWFLOW/TASKLIST020

Diagnosis

The task list cannot be changed because its status is one of the following:

Created

Locked

Completed

Procedure

If the status is Created or Locked, activate the task list. If the task list has already been completed, you can no longer make any changes to it.

Any suggestions will be really helpful.

Hi Shobhit,

what kind of project did you create: maintenance or implementation project?

Could you start transaction /tmwflow/maintinst resp. /n/tmwflow/maintinst, please.

Choose tab 'maintenance cycle' or 'implementation' (the titles may be a little bit different).

Do you see your maintenance cycle (M...) or task list (I...)?

Otherwise press status-button, which you will find in the middle of the screen. Activate all options.

Perhaps your task list is locked, here.

Hi Horst,

I can execute the tcode /n/tmwflow/maintinst and then i clicked on implementatoin project, now when I display task list for implementaion project and click execute nothing is shown.

Task list seems empty here, any idea ?

Hi Horst,

Oh wait, I see it now, I clicked on status and selected all.

Now one task showed up and its phase is CREATED.

But I have no idea how this will relate to unlock the tasks in task list in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.

Try this

In solar_project_admin

first click the REFRESH button under the System landscape tab ..this normally update many tables ...in case if it not updated then only

choose the task list tab

first select GENERAL TASKS then right click it and unlock it

further

select PROJECT TRACK **** ..then right click it and unlock it

Hi Prakhar,

Thanks for your info, I refreshed it.

Now i right clicked General Tasks and clicked unlock, it showed a pop up saying TASK PLAN cannot be created.

Then I moved one node above which said - Task list for ECC6 project and right click it to unlock.

It gave me a pop up saying activate and a check box..... shall this be activated ?? will this have any other effects as manually activation step was not there in the document I was following to setup ChaRM.

Yes please activate it and then open the task/sub tasks.

sometimes this happens

actually in older solman version we do this activation step but newer ones its removed and made automatic

I tried to activate it by selecting UNLOCK subsequent groups.

Phase change from 'Created' to 'Devel

without Release' is not possible

F1 help says :

Phase change from 'Created' to 'Development without Release' is not possible

Hello All,

Thanks for your valuable help provided.

Problem is resolved and I was able to unlock the tasks by following the below procedure-

Once the task list was created, goto Tcode CRM_DNO_MONITOR, there select your task and goto change mode, now click on ACTIONS tab on right side top and select "development without release".. Once this is done click on action tab again and " Task plan".

Now you can right click any task and unlock it successfully.
