Hi SCN Team,

I've had several inquiries regarding the PowerDesigner Viewer download this week alone and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Is this download gated? If so, how do other customers that do not have access to the SMP obtain it?

Hello,

To download the software,
1. Connect to SAP Software Downloads (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter/search/powerdesigner)
2. Select "SAP POWERDESIGNER 16.6 - Installation Product".
3. Click Installation.

You can download 3 zip files:
- SAP POWERDESIGNER Viewer 16.6 Windows 32bit
- SAP Powerdesigner 16.6
- SAP POWERDESIGNER Viewer 16.6 Windows on x64 64bit

by following the link you provided i get the following :

You are signed in with a P-user ID.        Visitors with an S-user ID will benefit from more tools and enhanced functionality. If you are an SAP customer, contact a user administrator in your company to request such an ID. Your SAP Local Support Center can help you identify your administrators.        If you already own an S-user ID, log out now and log in with your S-user ID.

what means that i cant get the PD viewer as a non SAP customer ?

The answer is - you can't download the Viewer if you're not a customer - that's a bad move by SAP, though it does make their downloads easier to manage.
