Print control declaration

Hi ,

I am working on a script where the printing of the form is controlled by PRINT CONTROL command.

eg., PRINT- CONTROL ZSIGN.

But when i am trying to find the ZSIGN in the path SPAD-> Full Admin->DEvice types -> Print Controls

I am not able to see the "ZSIGN" print control anywhere.

Can some one please let me know if there is any other place where this is declared or configured.

hi,

for this u have to use tcode nace then for ur document type u control ur print.

Hi Kamala,

You have to create this print control ZSIGN in the print controls of the device type that you use. In the created print control, you have to put the command that you want to send to the printer.

Thanks for the reply.

I have now understood that device types have a list of print controls attached to them.

I am an ABAPER and i wanted to know who creates the device types configuration and connection to printers etc.,..

I am working on check printing where in the SIGNATURE window this PRINT -CONTROL ZSIGN command is given .

Can you throw some light on how to proceed in configuration of the device type and print control type ?

Hi Kamala,

To add a print control, the steps are:

SPAD -> Full Admin -> Device Types -> <Device Type> -> Print Controls

Here you add a new print control and insert the command required to activate the signature in your printer. The actual command depends on the printer etc.
