    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Hi All,&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;I have question.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;While working on an implementation I have learnt that the standard for Rules of Dialog work process distribution is that it should be equal to = {(total WP/2)+ 1}.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;+i.e. Dialog WP={(total WP/2) &lt;EM&gt;1}&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Can anybody tell me is this is a SAP standard, and where I may find the documentation for this?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Arya&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The number of work processes in a SAP system depends on the amount of RAM/physical memory available.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As per the note 39412, the minimum number of work process for a SAP system is as listed below,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For a central system: 5 DIA, 1 UPD, 0 UP2, 1 BTC, 1 ENQ, 1 SPO&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For a dialog server: 2 DIA, 0 UPD, 0 UP2, 0 BTC, 0 ENQ, 0 SPO&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The general thumb rule for WP is,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No.of Dialog WPs=RAM Size(MB)/250. and No.of Background Wps=RAM Size(MB)/750.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this clarifies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Varadharajan M&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
