Hi everyone,

I would like to know if there are already online some sample source code app to understand how we should build apps with this new SDK.

At the TechEd Barcelona, I saw the iOS app Asset Manager that was really well made. I partecipated at the session made by Sehwan Park and I saw that you have something similar also for Android.

Do you have something similar for Android that can be open sourced and we can look at the code as an example of the standard we should follow?

These kind of example are really important for a developer to understand design pattern and best practice.

An app generated with the Wizard can serve as a sample which you can inspect. Here's a tutorial about using the Wizard: https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/cp-sdk-android-wizard-app.html

I'm not aware of other publicly available samples.

Hey Emanuele - SAP Asset Manager is actually built with the mobile development kit, a metadata driven framework that enables web developers to create cross platform native apps. When the app metadata is received by the client runtime, the content is transformed into native SAP SDK controls - that's where the SDK comes in. Android MDK is going into early adopter care in a couple weeks (subject to changes in schedule). While SAP Asset Manager is a fantastic app that delivers a great deal of business value, it's not a representative example of how to develop with the Android SDK. We are working on code samples as we speak. But in the meantime, have you check out Dan's blogs - the Step By Step Guide for the Android SDK? I was going to check it out already thanks for the link 😉

I think that the first step for me is to refresh a little bit my Android dev experience, it's almost more than 2 years that I don't develop a native project. That's why I was asking for sample 😉

The first step, study the new Android best practice; second step, learn Kotlin .
