Schedule mailing the report.

Hello Experts,

I want to schedule mailing my report to predefined user list.

In forums and help docs, I found that in 3.x, query scheduling was possible through Reporting Agent in BW. The output of the query can be sent as mail.

In 7.x, all the functionality of reporting agent are taken care by BEx Broacaster.

The system on which I am working is 7.x but do not have Enterprise Protal. Will I still be able to use BEx Broacaster to schedule mailing report to predefined users? If yes then please inform how can I send it through BEx Broadcaster?

If I can not e-mail my report through BEx Broacaster without Enterprise Portal, Please tell me any other way through which I can schedule mailing the report.

Hi,

Ask BASIS people to provide Precalculation server. And check this in RSPRECADMIN T-code.

Open your workbook~~>tools~~>distribute workbook-->it will open in new window(internet explorer). there you can see the create settings for new one. if it is allready existing just select that --> in down you can see 3 tabs.

in 1st tab you can give E-mail ids which you want to broadcast the report. and also you need to slect output format of the report as excel file and also check the check box as zip file.

in 2nd tab you can provide subject line and information do you want to pass to the users.

in 3rd tab you can give variables by clicking on CHANGE.

finally you can schedule it in background.

You can check finnaly in SOST t-code for E-mail status.

Hi Jaydeepsinh,

youcan send Report, as email to the liat of users even though you are not using Enterprise Portal.

first test this with your email ID.

run the report in Bex Web Analyzer and on report data right click and select Distribute -> as Email and this will take you to Information Broadcasting wizard and there you will see options to enter your email ID and Scdule that with Execute option, then immediately that is shedules and you will get information that Email is sent.

and you can check that Email Status in t-code SCOT.

and check your mail box..

Thankyou for the help.

I am able to reah upto following step suggested by you:

"run the report in Bex Web Analyzer and on report data right click and select Distribute -> as Email "

This action is taking me to one web page, with message:

"Error loading template 0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE"

Once I click on this message, another browser window with following message pops up:

"Technical Information for Message:

Error loading template 0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE

Notification Number BRAIN 276 "

Let me know if you can suggest me what actions should I take to correct the error.

Hello,

You need to maintain a standard template in the SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence ->Settings for Reporting and Analysis ->BEx Web ->Set Standard Web Templates.

Check what is maintained here I think its 0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE right now and may be its not active

you can keep it blank if you want or give the name of the standard template used by by the queries in your system to run.

Through SPRO transaction, I browsed following path suggested by you:

"SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence ->Settings for Reporting and Analysis ->BEx Web ->Set Standard Web Templates"

Nothing is maintained under existing fields of Broadcasting, Query Precalculation, Report Precalculat., Enterpr. Report and Ad Hoc Analysis.

Thankyou all,

I was able to broadcast the output of 3.x query after following:

Web Template enabled through RSA1 -> BI content -> Object Types -> Web Template (Format SAP BW 3.x) -> Select Objects ->0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE -> Transfer -> Install

Other web templates which need to be installed following same procedure are:

1. Standard Web Template for Query Broadcasting (0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING)

2. 0ADHOC

3. 0ADHOC_CHARTS

4. 0ADHOC_CONDITIONS

5. 0ADHOC_FOOTER

6. 0ADHOC_HEADER

7. 0ADHOC_INFOS

8. 0ADHOC_TABLE
