SQL Anywhere 17 Installation

Hi Everyone.

Can anyone provide a detailed installation guide of SQL Anywhere 17 and Mobilink 17 for a Windows Server 16? I can't seem to find any documentation regarding this.

Installing SQL Anywhere is pretty straight forward if you are installing using the SQL Anywhere install tool. If you are looking for how to deploy to end user environments, there is product documentation that covers that topic or you can use the deployment wizard to help build the install.

If you need more specific information, can you elaborate on what you are trying to address?

It does not seem to require patches, especially to use SQL Anywhere 17 on Windows 2016.

However, the latest patch is recommended.

I extracted the details of this information.(2397402 - How to install SQL Anywhere on Windows)
You can originally confirm screenshot at the time of the installation.

1. The directory containing the SQL Anywhere installation and execute setup.exe.
2. Select the language for installation.
3. The installation wizard starts.
4．Choose the location and agree to Licensing Agreement.
　 Confirm license agreement and accept. (only if you agree)
5．Input registration key.
Enter a Registration key.
The question of the registration key is Component:XX-SER-LIKEY-SYB.
6. Input User Name and Organization.
7. Choose the setup type.
Optionally, you can choose which program features you want installed and where they will be installed. (Select [Custom])
-Databases - SQL Anywhere : Relational database of all function deployment
- UltraLite : Compact relational database for small devices
-Synchronization - Mobilink : Synchronization component designed to synchronize remote databases with a consolidated database
- SQL Remote Conponent for the two-way replication between database transactions and a consolidated database
-Administration Tools : Tools for administering a database
-SQL Anywhere Monitor : Administration tool(browser-based) which provides the information of each component
-Relay Server : Load-balanced between mobile device and backend servers
-Samples : Sample of each function
8. Click [Install] to begin the installation.
9. Confirm completion of the installation.

For your information:
The uninstallation of SQL Anywhere uses Windows function. (Control Panel > Programs and Features > SQL Anywhere xx > uninstall)
