user is not authorized (2950) while creating calculation view

Hi,

I am trying to create a calculation view but I am ending up with error "

user is not authorized (2950)". I think i hae a NON System user id: 'HANA'.

I checked the roles and privileges for my user' HANA' and SYS_REPO..etc

Am I still missing anything.

Execute the below statement in SQL console and activate your view

GRANT SELECT ON SCHEMA SCHEMA_ABC TO _SYS_REPO WITH GRANT OPTION

Note : At SCHEMA_ABC give your schema name

Hi,

I am using Schema's from different Packages and hence used the above GRANT SELECT statement.

Hello!

When I try to set the rights SELECT for the _SYS_REPO user (with command GRANT SELECT ON SCHEMA SCHEMA123 TO _SYS_REPO WITH GRANT OPTION), I get an error about insufficient rights

SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Detailed info for this error can be found with guid '325B73EE97FF7D478DA315EA3A11D53C'

I trying it with SYSTEM user.

If I try add permission to _SYS_REPO user, I get error - Could not modify user '_SYS_REPO'. Could not grant privilege SELECT on SCHEMA123 You are not authorized to perform the required actions

How I can add this permission?

Hi Vadim,

The scenario for which the statement mentioned above is this.

Please check. Also the user with which you are executing this statement should have the privilege to access 'SCHEMA123'.

Hi, the _SYS_REPO user in our HANA instance is deactivated. Does this work anyway?

Worked perfectly for me. I'm wondering that when I execute the above statement, on behalf of which user is the statement getting executed. I mean to ask which is the user which is granting select privilege on my schema to _SYS_REPO user along with grant option?
