Printer issue

Dear Sir,

In report printing from SAP-ERP, There are some reports which are not being printing from one computer and the same are being printed from other computer by same user id. In some other cases, reports printing from SAP is not there while from other packages like Excel, M.S etc the reports are being printed.

Hello Anil,

Ensure that SAPLPD works properly on each of your machines.

SAPGUI would generally call the SAPLPD program and SAPLPD would then send the printout to the default printer of that machine.

Just to check ? you managed to solve your problem?

Probably I find two issues here

1. if users are using frontend printing.

They mught be having different printer setup and printer location.

So you have to look for their printer setting in windows as such for the default printer.

2 .In SAP the printer name shall be locl or local

host printer shall be set to __DEFAULT

and Access method shall be F

It works fine.

3 .You mentioned that excel is printing fine but sap it is not getting printed.

You have to see what printer are they using in SAP and what is the access type?Is the print immidiate is set for users under their profile ?

Troubleshooting

you can start from the sp01 and see the request for a printer or for a user.Drill down to see what is happening in the spooler?

Hi, First make sure the printer is fine and able to send some test print locally direct from os. Then fire your print SAP and check the spool .

Just do step by step approach and this can be resolved very easily.
