Hi All,

Can any one give me some details regarding First Logic?

How to use this tool? What is the use of Firstlogic in MDM?

Hi Priya,

First logic is a tool for data quality.This tool parses and standardizes both customer and operational data; corrects the data based on secondary data sources to improve matching; and appends additional information such as phone numbers to provide a more complete base of customer knowledge, identifies duplicate records, consolidates data, builds relationships, and creates a single customer view across databases.

Hi,

FirstLogic is a data cleansing tool. It is an independent product (non SAP).

*Use with MDM:*

It is used in scenarios where data cleasing capabilities of SAP MDM are not sufficient. If organization requires advanced data cleansing capabilities, then it is provided using tools such as FirstLogic

*Landscape:*

R3-- FirstLogic-->MDM

Legacy /

Data from various remote systems is first imported in FirstLogic, perform data cleansing, import this cleansed data into MDM.

Hi all,

A few words about FirstLogic in SAP/MDM context:

FirstLogic was acquired by Business Objects, which is today an SAP company.

As mentioned, cleansing is part of their offering, and this capability is accessible to MDM data, not only in the initial load, but also as an ongoing process, through the enrichment controller of MDM.

I would not state it u201Ccreates a single viewu201D, more accurate to say it assist other tools, such as MDM to do it.
