Parameter - Value Options - Choose From List

Looking at the "How to Work With SAP Crystal Reports in SAP Business One" version 9.1, page 16, it states that you can create a "Choose From" list from a parameter in SAP from a Crystal report. In my 20+ years of experience with Crystal Reports, I have never seen this functionality.

How do you get a report to allow a user in SAP B1 to see a list of available items using these instructions?

The instructions do not say whether or not the parameter you are creating is Static or Dynamic. Which is it?

The instructions also say that you have to create a blank report for each selection criteria window. How do these separate reports get combined into the report you're creating that actually uses these 'choose-from lists'? I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Hi Micheal,

I've seen a few reports meant to work with SAP B1.

The instruction about creating 'a blank report for each selection window' is actually supposed to be done in the same report.

For example, when you run the report inside SAP B1 and you wanted a prompt screen that looked like the screenshot below:

You would create a Parameter with the following settings:

The list of values would be dynamic and the values would be generated using the query you type in the "Name" field.

In this way, you're able to create various window styles and prompt selection UI screens that work only inside SAP B1!
