How to prevent Design Studio EmbeddedFrame SDK component from refreshing

When creating a simple Design Studio application with an EmbeddedFrame component I am noticing that, if an event is fired in the parent application, outside of the EmbeddedFrame, it causes an asynchronous call to the server which in turn refreshes the EmbeddedFrame.

This behavior is disruptive as it causes the embedded content to reload. This greatly compromises the usefulness of the EmbeddedFrame component.

In the attached screenshot below I have a simple application (no data-sources), which has a button that toggles the visibility of the text-field beside it through the button's 'OnClick' event. Whenever the button is pressed, though, the EmbeddedFrame refreshes.
