help :Missing Web Service Configuration

Hi all,

i am using NW CE trial from SDN. From the documentation, there should be

"Web Service Configuration" under location:

NWA>Configuration Management> Infrastructure-> Web Service Configuraiton.

this is because the package i am using is just a trial and function limited server?

anyone came across this problem too?

hi,

you will find the ws config under SOA Management~~>Business Administration~~>Web Service Administration.

thank you Jens.

the reason i need to access to WS configurtion is i need to create a new WS destination, and this WS destination is then mapped into one of deployed web services supposingly.

is that any way i can configure the CE server to have such functionality?

please guide me!

hi,

this functionality to create ws destination u will @soa management~~>technical configuration~~>destination template management.

inspect the saphelp - normally you will find there some good explanation...

Hi,

here is some data on configuring ws destinationConfiguring a Web Service:

To use Web services as a source of data in your models, you must first define their destinations in

NetWeaver Administrator. For this example, we want to define the destination for a Web Service that

converts an amount from one currency to another.

To configure the Web service:

• Open NetWeaver Administrator using the following URL:

http://<machine name with full domain>:<portnumber>/nwa.

• In the Welcome screen, enter your user name and password and click Logon.

• Choose SOA Management → Technical Configuration → Destination Template Management.

• Click Create Destination.

• In the Destination Type dropdown list, choose WSDL.

• Specify the following settings for the Web service destination:

• Destination Name: CurrencyConverter

• URL: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL

• Click Save.
