Why we use these Tcodes SM58, SMQ1 and SMQ2

Hi Experts,

While sending the IDOC from R/3 to XI.....what is the use of the following TCodes and why we use these TCodes?

1. SM58

2. SMQ1

3. SMQ2

can we use these TCodes in XI as well.......

Hi,

In R/3

We use SM58 to check any tRFC related errors

We use SMQ1 & SMQ2 for Out bound and inbound strucked queues related errors

In XI

In XI Also we can monitor like the same

Hi,

this are std queue monitoring tcode for any of the scenarios not for IDOC only.

SM58: To check the status of the tRFC calls.

SMQ1 – qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.

·SMQ2 – qRFC Monitor for the inbound queue. You use this transaction to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue.

Hi,

In R/3

We use SM58 to check any tRFC related errors. Why because IDOC's sent through tRFC Ports. So if we didnt receive the IDOC to XI means we will check it here.

If the message is struck in Outbound Queue of R/3 means we will check SMQ1

In XI

If there is no errors at R/3 side means then we will check whether that idoc reached to xi or not or whether it is struck up in Inbound queue of XI ( in SMQ2 in XI)

After the Processing the IDOC, if it doesnt reached to target means we will check if that is struck in outbound queue of XI in SMQ1

Irrelevent of scenarios when ever we are using Queues then we will use SMq1,q2..

and sm58 for IDOC and RFC scenarios..

Hi,

Whenever the message is entered into Xi it first put into inbound queue that is SMQ2 then it is send to Integration server for processing then it will send to Outbound queue SMQ1 and through there it is send to target system.
