How to undeploy/delete/remove application

Hey

I want to undeploy my project from the server, cause it doens't make sense being there.

I've been looking around and found sometimes the hint of undeploying the project. But I can't find the way how to do it. Is there anyone who can explain it to me?

I deployed the project using the NDWS.

Hi,

For doing that follow the following procedure,

1.go to nw administrator by using http://<hostname>:<portname>/nwa

2.go to configuration management

3.Select Infrastructure

4.Select Application Resources

5. Select Start & Stop JavaEE applications

6.Search your application by giving application name in filter area

7. Select your application & select stop in Application Details tab.

Hope it will solve your problem

For UNdeploying applicaton

1) go to SDM directory /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<instance>/SDM/program

2) start remoteGUI.bat

- give password to connect to SDM

- the SDM will open and select undeployment tab

3) select your project and click on undeployment button and start undeployment

Hey Srinivasan,

I can follow your guidance till Infrastructure. This item isn't displayed anywhere. Unlike, the application resources were on the screen. (And get immediately a search screen and can't chose the 'start and stop JavaEE application' option) But when I select the application resources, I can't find my webdynpro application through search.

But this start option, i found this afternoon under:

System Management -> Administration -> applications

Search for the application and under te status tab.

But this option seems to me only an option to start and stop the application, so don't delete/undeploy it.

Ya you are right.

To undeploy you can follow the instructions given under these links.

HI Christof,

If you are deploying on WAS version 6.4 to 7.0 then you can undeploy it using RemoteGui.

its path on server is..

/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<instance>/SDM/program/remoteGUI.bat

If you are using WAS CE 7.1 then you can undpoy your application from NWDS CE 7.1 from undeploy view.

show view->others->undeploy

I wan't to excuse myself for the late response, but I went on a weekend. I had a good time, but I need a solution now.

I don't get the point about these webservices helping me to undeploy my webdynpro application.. Sorry!

A nice solution, except I got a 7.0.11 version of NWDS, so I can't find the undeploy view. Found a tutorial too about this view, but didn't found why it wasn't working. Now I know, wrong version.

This seems a really nice solution, except I haven't installed a local portal on my laptop (Can't run the portal). And from the information I found, I can't use it without the portal.

These remoteGUI.bat keeps coming up (and looks promising). But there are problems with the server. So I still can't connect the server. But I found some info it could be possible to use the remoteGUI.bat from my own laptop instead of on the server. Got any tips?

- I concluded out of this info the following: You need the J2EE Engine. This is included in the portal.

- In the text behind your link, the writer references to the map c:\usr\... . This is a map of the portal.

But your reaction tells me I'm wrong. Please tell me what to install to use this deployment manager!

Hi Christof,

The only way you will be able to undeploy your application is from server.

Simply search remotegui.bat file on server drive. i.e. where the \usr directory is.

and follow the steps given for remotegui.

I got that wrong. I thought you could start this remoteGUI.bat from your own laptop too. But you really need to log on to the server and use it there
