Testing a DB connection defined in DBCON

Hi Experts,

i make a new entry using tcode:DBCON and enter the necessary details ashown as above.

While Testing a DB connection using T-CODE : SE 38, errors occured a shown as below.

Hi,

there might be various reasons for this error. Please execute the test again and provide the trace file mentioned on the screen.

I don't know what database is your SAP system running on, but I could imagine that the HANA libraries are missing or your system support pack level is too low to support HANA connection. But it's just guessing - please provide the trace file and everything will be clear 🙂

SAP system running on Oracle DB.

That Trace file size is 0 kb... Its empty nothing had been written on this....

OK. Did you install the HANA Client libraries on the system? Check the following SAP Note:

2483845 - HANA secondary connection error: "No shared library found for the database with ID" or ADBC error 'Internal error 16 has occured'

Hi,

It seems that you haven't provide the correct "Connection information". The "Connection information" should contain information of hostname and sql port number.
e.g.
for single container database:
<hostname>:3<instance number>15
for multitenant database:
<hostname>:<tenantdb/systemdb sql port>
