Hi,

When we try to refresh cascading LOV values in webi 4.2. we are getting error message com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)

Please note that this error is inconsistent. For initial refresh the error will not come and if the report LOV is refresh for 2nd continuous time it will throw error and sometimes it will not.

Below are the work around from our end but can’t able to fix the issue

1) Tried creating new report

2) Created new objects/LOV in Universe and used the same in New/Old report

3) Tried removing few objects from report

Please note that if i replicate same report query in universe then LOV is coming up without any issue. Issue is only in Webi End

Please let me know which database you are using? if universe .unx or .unv?
