MS office 2007 files as attchment in SRM 5.0

This is regarding the usage of 2007 files as attachment in the shopping cart . We are able to attach 2007 documents in the shopping cart . We are getting run time error " UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" when the cart is added to the work list in the Sourcing cockpit . Is there any OSS note for this fix or setting is required in SRM system (SRM Server 5.5 ) .

Hello,

The following recommendation has solved a similar issue. Is the dump happening in form ADD_TO_CONNECTION_TABLE?

If so, you can consider the following instruction within SPRO transaction:

-spro -> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide

-> SAP NetWeaver -> Knowledge Management

-> Settings in the Knowledge Warehouse System

-> Document Management Service

-> Define MIME Type for File Name Extension

add an entry like:

File name extension = docx

MIME type of a Web object = application/vnd.openxmlformats

Also ensure your system has the following notes in place 1062725, 1077464,793873,847636,698629.

Hi,

Please check the following things:

The file extensions supported by MS Office 2007 need to be added in SAP DMS through SPRO transaction u2013 Cross-Application Components  Document Management  General Data  Define Workstation Application.

Those file extensions supported by MS Office 2007 need to be added to the existing profile STORage CATegory in SAP DMS through SPRO transaction u2013 Cross-Application Components  Document Management  General Data  Define Profile.
