Contract not picked up as SOS

Dear experts,

I would be interested in your opinion regarding a problem I am currently facing in our system (SAP SRM OneClient 7 EHP1 in SAP ECC 6).

Whenever I create a Contract and I release it, I cannot find it as a source of supply in my Shopping Carts. I have checked all possible configurations and everything seems to be fine.

Some more details:

- Contract items are defined as "Product Category", with free description.

- Supplier Product Number at item level is correctly specified

- Goods Recipient and Plant in Contract are the same as those specified in the Shopping Cart

- Contract is released and it has capability (its target value is greater than 0).

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Please tells us the which transaction type is there in your contract.

Please see the below definition for contract types.

Contract Types in SRM

1.Central Contract - Transaction Type CCTR:

New as of SRM 7.0 and ERP Enhancement Package 4. This contract

works as a local SRM contract first, but can be also distributed on item

and purchasing organization basis to one or multiple SAP ERP back-end

systems. The leading contract for price determination is the SRM contract.

The distributed technical contract to ERP is a special type of contract and

looks different than a standard ERP contract from Materials Management

(MM), but works as a similar source of supply in SAP MM.

2.SRM Contract - Transaction Type PCTR:

Contract created in SRM and only valid as local source of supply. In other

words, this is only helpful for the local and extended classic scenarios.

3.Global Outline Agreement - Transaction Type GCTR:

Contract created in SRM and distributed to one (or more) ERP contract(s)

in SAP MM. This type of contract is not a valid source of supply in SRM

(MM only).

Hi Naga,

thank you for your prompt reply.

The type of Contract I am using is CCTR. Such a Contract exists only in SRM (not in the backend).

I would like to pick it up in the Shopping Cart in order to automatically create a PO in the backend.

Any clue?

Hi,

For backend PO (classic scenario) source of supply can be backend contract (distributed from SRM central contract) only.

Are you able to distribute the above contract to ECC?

As per my knowledge operational contract management is not supported in SRM one client.

Hi Gio,

When you are creating a shopping cart in SRM, based on entered product category in SC system should automatically dispaly the available contracts under source of supply tab, where you can choose the contracts.

In case if you flagged the selection available in contract itme level (block for local procurement) system will not prompt that contract as a source of supply in SRM. Please check this selection flag in contact.

Also, please check the contract distribution status in ECC, whether the contract has been replicated to ECC or SRM.

Hi Malay,

thank you for your valuable answer. My doubt is, if SRM one client doesn't support operational management, what Contracts are there for? I mean, I can process a Shopping Cart creating a Contract which cannot be used since it cannot be distributed to backend and cannot be seen as a source of supply... I don't see the utility of that..

Please, shed some light on that. I am a little bit confused right now...

Hi Kris,

settings are fine. I think it is more related to the scenario I am running the demo rather than some check box.

It seems that in SAP SRM One client, Contract distribution is not possible...

Please check if CCTR type is assigned to any Hierarchy template in table /SAPPSSRM/HTMP_A

Are you able to debug FM BBP_PD_FIND_SOS as to why this contract is not picked up as SOS?

I have checked and table /SAPPSSRM/HTMP_A does not contain any entry for CCTR type.

Also, I have tried to debug BBP_PD_FIND_SOS but I get lost in some point.

Do you have any ideas?
