Roles and Attributes for Users to SHOP

Hello Guys

Suppose a new users want to shop in SRM (Strategic user and Operational user).

I need to know the process from END to END.

1. How the new userscreated.

2. What all the roles assigned to them,

3. What all the attributes needed for them in organization structure.

Hi Santosh,

Please find the following actions

Create new user in SU01

Provide the role to create SC

Create the position using tcode users_gen (Enter Org Unit and Country)

Maintain attributes

System alias, System alias for accounting system, company code, account assignment category, cost centre, plant, deliver address,catalog id,etc..

Now the user should be able to create the SC

Hi Santhosh

You need to assign the operational purchaser role and strategic role (For su01 user and portal user)

Here you create a SU01 and corresponding user has to be created in portal if portal is used.

Roles depend on the release of srm used

User has to be assigned to org structure

All most all the required attributes are required for some on to shop like product category, location, currency etc

Hello,

I am not sure about your landscape, but sometimes, when you create the user in portal, user is also created in SAP_GUI. Then you just need to assign portal roles in portal and GUI roles in SAP_GUI (SU01).

Then, you should integrate the user in organization unit, using for example transaction USERS_GEN.

You can find in the attached file available in note 1261825 relevant roles for portal as well as SAP_GUI.
