Shopping cart error

Hi experts,

We are on SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0.

We are using netweaver 7.0 (SP7) for our portal instance. SSO, UWL etc have been configured in the Portal.

Now when the user logs in to create a shopping cart and clicks on the Employee Self Service link, he gets the following error:

"No POWL object types are assigned to you. Please inform your system adminstrator"

What could be the resolution for this?

Hi Sivakumar,

for me this sounds like a role problem. Can you check if the same problem arises if the user is assigned an SAP standard role, e.g. /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE? If the standard role solves the problem, take a look at the role the affecte user has. Probably the necessary transaction / web services is simply not in the role or not at the right place.

But the user already has the standard employee role : /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE.

Hello,

try to check the user in a transaction bbp_check_users

and can check it lacks any authority that a transaction ST01

Hi Sivakumar,

assuming that the user only has the PFCG role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE.

Please check the portal role of the user. The user should only be assigned the corresponding SAP Portal role for employee. I don't know the name atm.

@ Dav_999 : Transaction bbp_check_users is obsolete as of SRM 5.0. We are on SRM 7.0 as stated earlier.

@ Marcus : Thanks for your response. Yes the user only has the employee role in backend and in the portal he has the standard employee role.

Any more inputs?

There were 2 roles for employee in portal. I changed the role. The one with details pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_core/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_roles/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_employeeselfservice worked.
