Cancel picking of EWM Production Material Request

Hi everyone

we're trying to find an efficient way to cancel pick of one or more items staged on a PMR.

As far as we know, SAP covers this reverse process only for the Outbound Delivery through the CANCPICK app but there is not such an efficient app for PMRs.

So we can cancel picks only following many separeted steps and using multiple apps:

1. release stock straight from the stock list of the desired PMR item
2. unpack item from the HU (app PACK)
3. Check the fixed bin for the item (app BINMAT)
4. Create a warehouse task to the fixed bin (app ADPROD)

Instead the CANCPICK lets us input the Outbound Delivery and offers handy functions to route each item back to its origin bin. Quick and reliable.

Can you suggest any other way to ease the activity ?

I might be wrong, are you looking to clear PSA ( I think same as you explained )?

Clear PSA
After a PMR is completed, with the status Technically Completed, it is possible that there is still a quantity of the product on the PSA, and no other PMR needs the product. In this case, the product must be brought back to the warehouse so it does not occupy space on the PSA.
You can display the products on the PSA that are not attached to a PMR with the status Released. You can create warehouse tasks to bring the products back to the warehouse.
For products staged using the single-order staging method, you must release the reference document to clear the reference in the stock. If you do not release the reference document, the stock can never be used for another PMR.

Hi Ajit, we follow this way that is quite easy when production is completed: what is left on PSA is what it was not used. On the other hand when production is not completed and the whole PMR is cancelled: we need to execute all manually for each staged material. It sounds strange that there is not such a ready-to-use app as CANCPICK is for the Outbound Delivery process

Hi Enzo_Faggella , Thank you for clarification! you are right, no such process is there.

We had not exact but similar like left over quantities...We had told user (if do not want to keep for further use) to do manually create task from special WPT to determine the reverse location where it came from via RF or also use monitor to select all PSA bins and configured WPT where Source storage type configured and create WO/WT...

I eventually found the app MFG_STAGING_REVERSAL

It applies to PMRs and it works very similarly as CANCPICK works for Outbound Deliveries
