SAP FSM notification for technician when activity was unassigned

Hello,

before the release of 2205, by unassigning an activity the status changed to cancelled, the responsible technician still remained responsible in the cancelled activity and a copy of the activity was created for further planning.

With 2205 release, there is now the option to unassign an activity without cancellation by still keeping the same ID and just simply removing the responsible technician from the activity.

Because of that, the current business rule sending a push notification to the resposible technician is not working anymore since the technician is removed from the activity when unassigning.

Is there a way to identify/notify the technician who was responsible for the activity after the acitivity is unassigned?

Or is the only solution to deactivate the new feature at the moment?

Best regards

Max

Hi Max,

I haven't got "the answer", for you as I haven't got the exact rule in my system and tested it myself, but typically the business rule does have access to versions of the data in the object "old" and "new"; you can pull the technician ID from the "old". Also you are quite right about the activity; but there is also the service assignment object which contains information about who the assigned technician was.

See screenshot: in my example the business rule is looking at the service assignment object

Have a play with this, hopefully it helps you down a useful path.

Regards

Simon
