Forecast consumption set up prerequisite

Hello All,

What are the prerequisites to set up Forecast Consumption.

If DP alone is set up, can we use it?

Hi Sameer,

You can use it in Demand planning too. Please follow the steps:

1. Add New master data object "FORECASTCONSUMPTIONMODE" (refer Link : https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_INTEGRATED_BUSINESS_PLANNING/feae3cea3cc549aaa9d9de7d363a83e6/dde1eb03a54f478b992b8e9a8203018a.html?q=Forecast%20Consumption%20Mode)

2. Add attribute "FCSTCONSMODE" to master data table based on the level, you want consumption to happen. Example: If you want it to happen at Cust/Prod level then add it to CustomerProduct Master Object or if you it to happen at Cust/Prod/Loc level then add it to SourceCustomer Master Object.

3. Configure the Forecast consumption profile with relevant Key figures at right planning levels. Please ensure not to enable it for "S&OP operator" in profile.

Add 4 Key figures (INPUT: Forecast and Sales Order ; OUTPUT: Open Forecast and Total Demand)
Add Planning level
Add the master data object where the attribute "FCSTCONSMODE" is added.

Ensure that planning level and the keys of the master data where the attribute is added match.

Now you can run the Forecast consumption Profile stand alone.
