enable cross delivery HU in ECC

Dear Experts,

I want to create cross delivery HU’s from ECC while sending the delivery to EWM. In VL31n when I packed the part in HU and try to see the content section of HU the field for object is grayed out. please see below attached picture.

Is there a way to enable it for editing so that at the time of packing I can mark the value 23 ( cross inbound delivery) and use same HU number in other inbound deliveries?

I also tried HU02 transaction but it doesn’t allow me to edit the HU , it says HU is already part of inbound delivery.

Wondering if this field is available in HU what I need to change to make it enabled to be use with values 21 and 23.

Hi Ritesh, try to perform this from the Transport. If I remember right ECC works with cross-delivery HUs based on TUs. Not sure if it would work directly from deliveries.

That is not possible in a delivery, neither for inbound nor for outbound. LE-TRA can create this (what Daniil describes), but otherwise ERP does not know something like that. Other then EWM, here cross-delivery HUs are possible.

Thanks to d.mz and Juergen Pitz for replies. we tried to explore some more and conclusion is the values visible in content section only used when HU's are move using 2 step process. ECC never allowed creating cross delivery HU's as a source system.

Closing this thread now.
