Hi Sharma,

What kind of business is this? Bulk, container, trucks transport? Does the port operator work in your system (I expect not)?

Regards,

Sjaak

Dear All, Our client is a Paper and Pulp industry who are planning to implement TM over S4HANA 2020.

During our initial discussion at requirement gathering workshops, I have come to know that client has subcontracted 70% of their business to Port-operator from Transportation Planning perspective. That means, client is sending Material, Consignee and Quantity information to port-operator and then operators are deciding on what vehicle resource and how much quantity has to be delivered on what date.

Another aspects of this is that loading takes place at first place and then business expects this to be captured in TM in the form of FU/FO etc.

I am trying to understand here what is the best practice to handle such requirement and what should be transactional flow to handle it ?
