Question Re: EWM ROD AFS for 3 plants in Supply Chain Management Q&A

Hi,

"1. do I need separate storate type as "Inbound Staging Area" - for each Plant/sock type"

No, should not be necessary.

"Do I need separate strage type as "Clarification Zone-Y970)"

Don't think so. I mean, if you need a clarification zone, you move the product from the GR area to this. There should not be any posting change.

"all stock will be finaly putaway to same storage type and should be posted to different stock type (F2, F4, F6) => so how to achive that automatic posting for each plant in one storage type?"

No way in the standard. If you look into the mechanism, how does it work? By saying in the storage type what plant/storage location (expressed by the availability group) this material belong to. So that's it. That means that if you have this scenario you describe, you need to have 3 separate storage types for the final storage.

Which leads to the question: would you do that in WM? If no, why do you do in EWM? If yes, well, I guess there is some BAdI...

Brgds

Juergen

---

EWM ROD AFS for 3 plants

Hi,
I would like to use a scenario with 2 st. locations: ROD and AFS (with F1, F2, Q3, Q4 stock type). Its all work ok with just one plant, but we have scenario with 3 plants assigned to one wh.number.
So as I understand n this case we will need:

1. 6 st. locations (2 for each plant);

2. 3 owners/Part.to Disp.;
3. 18 stock types (6 for each plant - just for Un. and Q. stock nad B-block);
PL01->F1,F2,Q1,Q2,S1,S2

PL02->F3,F4,Q3,Q4,S3,S4

PL03->F5,F6,Q5,Q6,S5,S6

So my question is:
1. do I need separate storate type as "Inbound Staging Area" - for each Plant/sock type (or its possible toachie that using one common);
2. Do I need separate strage type as "Clarification Zone-Y970) - same as question 1;
3. all stock will be finaly putaway to same storage type and should be posted to different stock type (F2, F4, F6) => so how to achive that automatic posting for each plant in one storage type? thanks,

thanks
M.
