Setting up Alternate UoM as default in DP planning book

Hello Experts,

Following are my settings of planning area and key figure.

I am trying to load shipment data in materials alternate uom by setting up alternate uom as default in data view user settings but it doesn't show up as per settings made. "EA" is the uom that is always see irrespective of the settings made. Please guide me as to what i could be missing to achieve the business requirement.

Kartik,

Make sure you have alternate UoM maintained in product master. Don't check at aggregated level but first check for one material i.e. AUoM maintained, load this product in planning book and check results. Share screen shot for this product if still doesn't work.

Hello Rahul,

Alternate UOM has been update correctly in product master, loading this product in planning book still displays in the same uom as earlier. even though the user setting are in effect.

At least I am able to do in my system. Could you remove selection ID from user settings (though it should work), save the settings. Thereafter try to load single material.

Though cross check SAP notes

2045930 - Auxiliary Key figures not performing UOM Conversion

2239561 - BAPI PBSRVAPS GETDETAIL2 cannot return key figure UOM/currency

I hope above helps, but make sure you have not activated any badi.

Hi,

Have you performed "Assign Product/Location" in your MPOS setting?
Please go to /sapapo/msdp_admin, open your MPOS, go to Edit -> Assign Product/Location.
You need to assign corresponding characteristic here if you're not using 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO.

Another thing is, if you only include this specifc unique product in your selection, or you included multiple products?

Hello Rahul,

At first i had tried without selection ID settings but it didn't work out, then only i had gone with this option of using selection id and to my surprise it didn't work either.

I have gone through the sap note suggested by you. As per sap note 2045930 - I believe if i would be able to set UoM from Product master check then it just might work, but when i go to key figure attributes then this area is greyed out therefore i cannot make changes here.

Please suggest.

Also we haven't activated any badi in our system.

Hi Ada,

yes assign product/location has been performed for the required characteristics (zshipment is not being used as characterstic).

I am just trying to achieve these results for one product at this moment, though we have various more products with different alternate uom then the base uom of planning area.
