CDP - Batch characteristic value mismatch betn ECC and APO

Hi,

The scenario is CDP in MTS.

The issue -

There is mismatch in batch characteristic values between ECC and APO. What could be the possible reasons?

Is there any way to reconcile this mismatch. As per my understanding CCR does not correct this kind of inconsistency.

Could you provide some screen prints of the mismatching char values? It is difficult to imagine with a worded description.

Hi Andy,

I will elaborate it further with an example for your understanding -

one of the characteristic values is sales order number which is used for CDP char matching.

Now when we check a particular batch in APO and ECC. The SO number is different in ECC and APO.

e.g. Sales order - 1234

APO Batch X - char value = 1234

ECC Batch X - char value = 7856 (which is some other SO number)

There is no change history to batch (MSC2N) in ECC.

characteristics are being populated using a custom program

In this case you will have to check logic in custom coding with the help of ABAPer as no one will be able to judge what code and logic has been written in that program.

Check whether it has some logic other than you are aware of which is picking some other sales order number.
