How to uninstall the pco?

Hi,

PCO 2.2 has been installed on window-xp 2008 server and .net framework also installed.

Now I am going for PCO 2.3 spo3 version so to do that first I need to uninstall the existing PCO 2.1.

I uninstalled it through control panel but still I could see some file under C--programfiles--sap folder.

So should I remove those file manually please guide me .

And .net framework was installed but I could not see it in controlpanel --add/remove programs.

where should I check for that.

I am assuming the steps to install pco below here pls check and guided me.

Exsting:

Opc server and PCo are sitting in different system

Decom setting already done

Windows 2008 R2 64 bit

Opc core components were installed

Microsoft .net Version 3.5 sp1 was installed

PCo 2.2 was installed

proposed PCO 2.3 sp03:

1.Unistall the PCO 2.2 and restart the system

2.install the PCo 2.3 and configure.

please guide me it is right way or not and it is very urgent for me .

Why do you think you need to uninstall PCo 2.1...PCo 2.3 should install over the top of your existing PCo 2.1 instance. This will automatically migrate your PCo 2.1 configuration. I recommend that prior to running the PCo 2.3 installer you export your PCo 2.1 Configuation and save the PCoConfig.xml to a safe place.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have some problem with my account so that I could not reply you back quickly.

Already I have uninstalled the old version pls suggest for further as I cant save old configuration.

I am going for Pco 2.3 spo3 because we got some memory issue in opc server with old version so SAP recommended this version that is why I am installing new version.

Please suggest alternative way to install pco 2.3 spo3.

I am eagerly waiting for your reply.

can I install as I mentioned above I copied all the setting of pco old version.

So can I install new version now and before installing should I create any directory or install directly.

Just run the installer for PCo 2.3...hopefully you didn't uninstall your PCo configuration when you ran the uninstaller as you will now have to reconfigure the instance after the install. To install just run the .exe that comes with the download.
