How to add a new tab in project item under Project

Hi,

I have requirement is add some custom field in the form of a table under a new tab of project item under a project. Please let me know how it can be done.

Hello there. I am familiar with the follwoing two approaches.

Develop a new WebDynpro application with any necessary controls. Add it to the desired element of the desired project type in the customizing activity SAP Portfolio and Project Management - Project Management - Global Enhancements to Project Elements - Show Additional Tab Pages in Project Management. Please, consider the IMG-documentation before development as there are some special requirements.
Develop a new WebDynpro application with any necessary controls. Show it in the desired element types of the desired project types by implementing via BAdI: Definition of Customer-Specific Tabs (DPR_EXTENSIONS)

I can also recommend you to get yourself acquainted with the Floor Plan Manager framework as it is very usefull for developing UIs in PPM.
