SAP certification

Hello,

I have 6 months of experience as Consultant-SAP. I want to register for the SAP certification.

I would like to know on the details of certifications suitable for me and how to start preparing for it.

Kindly guide me with the same.

Hi Shreya,

SAP publishes a list of all current (valid) certifications on the SAP Training portal

training.sap.com/certification/validity.

There are three certifications related to ABAP

C_S4HDEV1909 - SAP Certified Development Associate - Programming in SAP S/4HANA, for SAP NetWeaver ABAP Programmer
C_TAW12_750 - SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.50
E_HANAAW_17 - SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA 2.0

C_S4HDEV1909 is the evolution ("next version") of the C_TAW12_750 certification (as SAP S/4HANA is the evolution of SAP NetWeaver 7.50). Both are associate level exams (C).

E_HANAAW_17 is a specialist (E) certification and as stated on the exam page: It is highly recommended that you have passed one of these certification exams for the "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver"

Note that this concerns a recommendation (highly recommended), not a requirement. The exam assumes you are already familiar with ABAP and the focus is on the HANA implementation. For tips, see
