How to enable the Event Mesh from the BTP Integration Suite with S/4 Hana Public Cloud

Hi Experts,

I am trying this first time to enable the EVENT MESH to our partner TDD (BTP Integration Suite) from our partner TDD (S4HANA Public Cloud).

So, The standard outbox events available from SAP s4hana cloud i need them to capture via event mesh and process it further in the integration suite. I tried multiple places and help documents but unfortunately nothing helped me or my team to land in and making this work.

I am using the embedded event mesh capability from the integration suite, below are the different screenshots that from my BTP subaccount

Please help me here with enabling this as this is one of the crucial things we are trying to accommodate in the projects for a client.

Hi @Hanu,
Just activating the Event Mesh capability inside Integration Suite is not enough.
You will need to create a new service instance of the service SAP Integration Suite with plan messaging-client. Make sure, to provide a Namespace in the configuration json during creation. Finally you'll need to create a Service Key/Service Binding for this instance, to expose the credentials to access the Event Mesh service. These credentials are used to create a channel inside S/4.

@prashantrakheja33 has published a blog how to do the configuration in a S/4HANA On-Premise system. Take this as a starting point. Once you have the Service Key available, you can follow this documentation.

As mentioned: once you have completed the initial steps and have the Service Key available, you can follow this documentation.

With the service key you need to create a new Communication Arrangement in S/4 with the scenario ID SAP_COM_0092.

In short:

BTP: Activate Event Mesh capability inside SAP Integration Suite
BTP: Create service instance of plan messaging-client
BTP: Create service-key/service-binding for the instance
S/4: Create new Communication Arrangement SAP_COM_0092 and provide service-key
S/4: Assign events to newly created channel
BTP: Create queue and subscribe topics exposed by S/4
S/4: Create event

With that S/4 will be able to send events to Event Mesh. Finally repeat steps 1-3 and create an iFlow with AMQP adapter and use the credentials from the service-key to connect the consumer side.

I noticed that for the partner TDD environment we dont have a free/partner use Event Mesh service. Please let me know how to enable this for the partner user and with no cost.

Thanks, @Tobias_Griebe. But now I am facing a new issue of free/partner use Event Mesh service is not available in BTP TDD tenant.

I am looking for your help in how we can move here without a service for partner use for free or cost.

I'm not an expert in licensing topics.
Here is what I found exploring different sources:

This blog - Partner TDD Onboarding for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition – Guide for Common Issues which should answers all your queries on TDD.
If you've partner portal access, you can find list of TDD and Pricing and also whom you can contact and discuss.

Event Mesh has a standalone TDD SKU: 8008807.

Event Mesh is available as an add-on service for the Cloud test, demo, and development for SAP Business Technology Platform, starter pack (SKU: 8011000).

Furthermore, Event Mesh is part of the Pay-As-You-Go for SAP BTP for Cloud Test, Demo, and Development portfolio and can be activated as a standalone service in an PAYG TDD Global Account.

Not sure if this is all up-to-date or already outdated. But it should give you at least a starting point.
