Using preferred name across modules eg performance and goals

Currently we are using preferred name but are sturggling with getting this to work in all modules. Performance and goals being a good example of this.

Has anyone found how to do this or have a workaround for it?

Is it on SAP Roadmap for preferred name to be useable everywhere?

Hi Peter, thanks for the comment, we have done this but performance and goals just does not seem to want to take preferred name. Not sure if this module is not compatible yet or something we have not done.

We have the preferred name mapping into our Performance Forms.

The name used in Performance comes from the Employee Profile user data. We have mapped the employee's Preferred Name into the Employee Profile user data First Name field under Busines Configuration.

Dear richardleese,

You have to map the preferred name to the EP field (first name) and it will be used for all modules, including PM&GM. Go to the Manage Business Configuration and set up this mapping.
