I am accessing NWBC from Fiori which opens in a web browser. Is there a way to connect SAP Companion to NWBC web interface

Hi Ankur,

If you are launching your NWBC apps through the Fiori Launchpad or Work Zone from SAP BTP, then you can configure SAP Companion through BTP. This will allow you to open SAP Companion for your NWBC apps. Unfortunately, my experience is that SAP Companion does not work well with NWBC apps. When you try to attach content to individual screen objects, e.g. fields, the SAP Companion functionality identifies a frame that encompasses the main part of the app. The fact that SAP Companion identifies this frame, means that it is not possible to attach content to individual screen objects, so Context Help message bubbles and Guided Tour steps cannot be assigned to the individual screen objects that they relate to. This is obviously a problem.

I think it would still be possible to use the Learning App to deliver Simulations and other content, managed in Producer, through SAP Companion for NWBC apps, but not content that requires object-level contextual information, e.g. Guided Tours and Context Help bubbles.

Refer to the SAP Companion Integration Guide for instructions on setting up SAP Companion on BTP.

Regards
Shane
