Restrict Visibility in Onboarding Tasks

Hi all,

Customer has a requirement that in the Onboarding/Offboarding Tasks were you can select people like Assign Buddy or Recommend People, the Employees that appear should be restricted based on the Department and/or Company.
Is this possible, actually the Customer can select all Employees that are in the system for those tasks.

thanks for the KBA but this didnt help me further it just tell me the permissions for the task not how to restrict Employee visibility inside the task.
