1H 2023 scheduled for Holiday Weekend

Good morning,

The Product Release Roadmap currently lists May 26th as the 1H Release date. This falls on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Does SAP plan to keep this date for the 1H release on the holiday weekend for mourning U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces? I assume choosing this date was an oversight.

Update: this also falls on holiday weekends in several other countries, as noted in the comments below.

Thanks for raising this question, Justin. I'm thinking there are probably many companies with the same concern with this being a holiday weekend.

But its not a holiday in Europe, Australia or any other country i am aware of.

Sometimes timing is not perfect.

There are public holidays that weekend in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, and United Kingdom.

There are better dates available that will not interfere with so many public holidays -- like 5/19 or 6/1
