Add to a Project a Book Page that it is stored in the server

Hello all,

I would like to add as first title Slide a microsoft power point book page I have saved on the server (everything is in the same workarea). How can I do that? I have tried copy paste but without success.

You want to add a Book Page into a Simulation Project? Easy - on the simulation editor toolbar click the Add (yellow plus) button and select Book Page. Then choose the Book Page in the macro's Book Page property.

I want to add a book page that I have already created previously to a project I am currently making. The book page is a ppt slide. The book page has been saved on server. I want all my 15000 employees to be able to download the same book page from the server and to use it in their projects.

But it is a Book Page object in SAP Enable Now? If not, you can either insert a full-screen image into the simulation, or add the PowerPoint slide to a Book Page as an HTML File, and then proceed as per my first reply.

slide22 and Bookpage 20210708143425 were creared by me and saved on server. My employees are in my workearea. I want them to use these 2 book pages in their projects. How can they do that? They can go to Server Workarea-Check Out Objects and what then?

OK, so:

These are only saved locally to your PC. You need to Save to Server (and ideally move them to somewhere under Root) before anyone else will see them.
Slide 22 is a Template. You don't want to insert that into a project. If it really is a template, create another Book Page using this as a Template. If it isn't really a template, change its Subtype to be "-" (specifically, not Book Page Template).

Then, the other Authors can add these as Book Pages in their Simulations, as originally explained.

If this is something they will need to to every single Simulation Project (for example, you want your own custom start/end pages (good idea...) I'd suggest you create a Simulation Template (actually just a regular Simulation Project that you can select as a Template) and put the Book Pages in there. Then your Authors just need to make sure they select this 'Template' when they create a new Simulation.

There's actually no 'Simulation Template' object (like there is a Book Page Template). Just create a regular simulation project. You can then select this 'as a Template' when you create a new Simulation project.

You can select its Use as Template property and it will be listed on the Templates tab of the New Object dialog box. You can also set it as the default 'template' in Tools > Settings > Producer > Templates.

Even though I am a Master Author I cannot change that. I cannot change anything in Settings. Maybe because Is a Cloud Test and Demo Sap enable now edition.

I have saved on server slide22 and the book page of the first screen I have uploaded. I cannot find these two as an import option though.

No, not in Import - Click the Insert Macro button (the yellow '+') on the Toolbar, and select Book Page. (Or use menu option Insert > Insert Page Macro > Book Page).

I do not want to Insert a New Blank Book page. I want to insert the Book Page I have already created and Saved on Server.

*sigh* Once you select Insert > Book Page, your new 'Book Page Macro' will have a property called Book Page. Click the Edit button (pencil) on the right of this property, and navigate to and select your existing Book Page.
