Is it possible to set up partial embargo related to a region (inside a country)?

Hi guys,

I am a new participant in GTS forum.

I am looking for a solution to set up in GTS (last version) a partial embargo related to specific region (not a country).

Do you know a way to set up this specific need for embargo?

Hi Jose,

I don't think you can achieve that with the Embargo service in SAP GTS.

However, using the Legal Control service (= Licenses) you can have licenses determined at Region level.

You can hence setup 2 licenses types:

License Type REG_OK: This license type is always determined and is always active for all the regions not under embargo. Hence, the GTS replica of the ECC documents will determine this license and not block.

License Type REG_NOT_OK: This license type is determined only for the region under embargo and the license type is not active. Hence, the GTS replica of the ECC document will determine this license type (through region determination) and the document will block as the license is not active.

Of course, this is the big picture... you will have to figure out how to activate a Legal Regulation, how the users will be able to release a document in case they wish to, etc...
