Hi one addition if you dont use the sender email via the output channel the application logic applies. Its not that always the default sender adress from tyhe Business config is automatically picked.

See i.e. Sales logic in KBA 2217871 - How is the Sender E-Mail Address of a Sales Document Determined? same exists for Logistic documents.

Form Template selection can be done hierarchically via the form template selection or on the account itself it can be "hardcoded"

Best regards Didi

Hi SAP Support!

To my understanding, the sender logic varies by document type, but in general the system selects the sender with this hierarchy, where if a sender can't be found at one step it falls back to the next:
1. Document-level rules. *I believe Remittance Advices send based on the owner of the original document the RA is related to but don't see off-the-shelf documentation to confirm this*
2. Output Channel select rules.
3. Default sender maintained in Business Configuration.

Can you confirm if this is correct, and if so what the logic is behind the document level sender selection rules for Remittance Advices and where it might be found in the off-the-shelf documentation for ByDesign?

Regards,

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Learn more about the SAP Support user and program here.

The system determines the sender of a remittance advice using a hierarchical logic, ensuring flexibility and control over how communication is sent:

Document-Level Sender: By default, the sender is typically the owner of the document that triggered the remittance advice, such as the payment run owner or invoice owner.

Output Channel Rules: You can configure the output channel (e.g., email) to use a specific sender address, like a generic AP email. This rule overrides the document-level owner and allows for centralized email communication.

Default Sender: If neither of the above applies, the system will use the default sender email address defined in the system's Business Configuration settings.

By adjusting the output channel rules, we can ensure that all remittance advices are sent from a predefined generic AP email rather than the individual document owner.
