Question Re: Input ready key figure adds amount instead of overwrite (in query) in Financial Management Q&A

So you are using disaggregation? Depending on the used support package note 2824749 might be relevant. The effect you describe seems to indicate that the system finds no data when disaggregation is processed (though data exists); in this case the values manually changed would be added to the existing data.

Input ready key figure adds amount instead of overwrite (in query)

All,

In my query I have amount input ready key figure and 2 characteristics:

- 0WBS_ELEMT__0PROG_POS (= nav att of 0WBS_ELEMT)

- 0WBS_ELEMT

In the query I display 0WBS_ELEMT__0PROG_POS with its hierarchy (up to 7 node levels) and then 0WBS_ELEMT.

All works ok if I plan for 1 WBS or multiple WBS all belonging to the 1 0WBS_ELEMT__0PROG_POS (thus under one node of the hierarchy).

But when I plan for multiple WBS that belong to different 0WBS_ELEMT__0PROG_POS (and thus under different hierarchy nodes) the amount entered is added to the existing amount in the cell instead of overwritten. This happens to data entered for all the WBS.

If I deactivate the hierarchy, planning against the WBS works ok again.

Anyone come across this?

So the question is: is it possible to properly plan against a hierarchy of a navigational attribute? So with the hierarchy of a navigational attribute in the planning input query.

We use BPC Embedded 11.1 on BW/4HANA 2.0 and Analysis Office 2.8

Regards,

Hi Gregor, thanks for coming back to me. We are indeed using disaggregation. I will check 2824749 and see if relevant.
