Comments via aDSO and Composite Provider in BW 7.5 on HANA

Hello together,

is it feasable to change the common structure of creating comments to the new BW objects?!

I consider the common structure for setting up a comment function as the following SAP picture shows:

Now:

Is it possibe to use

1. instead of the Multiprovider a new CompositeProvider

AND

2.Planning on an aDSO instead of a real time InfoProvider

AND

3.using an aDSO/DSO for comments?

The main focus lays on the comment functionality.

So basically the combination of aDSO + aDSO + CompositeProvider is the goal.

P.S. Is there also a hint, how to create the aDSO with a greater number of character than 250?

Hi Jesko,

the answer is always yes in BW 7.50, SP04 and higher, except the maximum length of BW characteristics values: here the limit is still 250 characters.

In BW 7.50, SP04 and higher you can also store 'comments' on postable hierarchy nodes as explained in second link above.
